This retro-inspired dress set was sold on eBay in June 2007. It included a knitted wool bonnet, corduroy print cape, corduroy a-line dress, striped stockings, long sleeve striped tee, corduroy cropped trousers, and a matching corduroy totebag with beaded-handles.
Before I discovered Blythe, I never thought I would do any kind of sewing or knitting. After seeing all the beautiful and inspiring outfits created by other Blythe folks, I decided to give sewing a try. I've been sewing Blythe clothes for nearly three years now and I am getting a little better with each item I make.
Everything I made the first year was handsewn. It's been a great learning experience sewing by hand, but it is a tedious processto hem a skirt, what takes about 30 seconds on a machine can take about an hour for me. Now I have a machine that does its job and I can work much faster.
I started knitting Blythe-sized sweaters and hats recently and it's been a fun experience too!
